Brute Outdoors Cooler Review
I realize you may be skeptical of a Brute Outdoors Pro Staff member trying to sell you on the idea that Brute Box Coolers are better than everyone else’s. Let me tell you the reasons why I love my Brute and I will start in full disclosure. Before I was on the Pro Staff for Brute, I was on the other side using a competitor’s product, and was a fan of them. I came across Brute Coolers via a friend, and started to look into them. The first thing I noticed was that it was Made in the USA. That may not mean a lot to everyone, but it means something to me. Secondly, the quality of the construction and the look of the product stuck out. The fit and finish is much more appealing to me. Finally, my initial reaction was that it looked like the smaller Brute Box would hold as much or more than the larger size in the competitor’s product (I soon discovered that the competitor's is a model number, not a size).
The first thing I noticed was that it was Made in the USA. That may not mean a lot to everyone, but it means something to me.
Initially I purchased a Brute Box before I was on the Pro Staff, wanting to field test it firsthand before I ever reached out to Brute. I was impressed from the get go. The cooler arrived a day after I purchased it and was waiting on my porch when I got home from work. Being the type of person I am, I filled it up with ice and sat it on the back porch to see how long it would last. August in Oklahoma is hot and humid; A real test for the cooler and its ice retention for sure. By the end of the week, 7 days later, the cooler was opened and at my estimate, there was ¼ of the ice cubes left and the water in there was …..ice cold (rimshot!). It's now a part-time hunting cooler and part-time fishing cooler depending on the season!
All this being said, I contacted the guys at Brute and wanted to join the Team, and am so happy to be a part of it. I had the opportunity to help out a charity that honors wounded veterans, and the guys jumped at the chance to help and that said a lot to me that they are the kind of company I want to be affiliated with. USA made, support our troops, and keep your drinks, food, fish or game fresh, you cannot go wrong with a Brute Outdoors cooler.
